About
Caitlin "Cai" Burks is a Southeast-based designer and illustrator that focused on bridging the gap between art, design, and science education. Burks' practice confronts the lack of traditionally "feminine" aesthetics in S.T.E.A.M. programs. Their work prioritizes learning but aims to subtly challenge what types of design sensibilities are deemed respectable in educational spaces. Interactivity, gameification, and accessibility are subjects of interest. Burks is currently an illustrator and designer for the Georgia Southern Museum.
