I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBU). I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at HEC Montreal and CIRRELT - Interuniversity Research Center on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation, Canada (2015-2017). I received my Ph.D. degree in Operational Research/Management Science (2015), under supervision of professors Tolga Bektaş, Gilbert Laporte and Ola Jabali, from the Southampton Business School of University of Southampton, UK. 

I am the recipient of the Doctoral Award from the British Operational Research Society. I received the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) “National Young Researchers Career Development Grant (CAREER)”. 

My research mainly focuses on the application of mathematical and metaheuristic optimization techniques to transportation and logistics problems, more specifically to vehicle routing and scheduling. 

I was the founder of Rotamopt - a logistics optimization startup located at ODTU Teknokent. I am an Advisory Board Member of the TÜBİTAK Engineering Research Group Industrial Engineering section since 2022.

I have published 35+ articles in leading academic journals including Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part C, Transportation Research Part E, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Operations Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, International Journal of Production Economics, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, International Journal of Production Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal, OR Spectrum, International Transactions in Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems and among others.
