RECENT UPDATES

[July 2026] Dr. Kim presented his work on multiphase flows at The 14th National Congress of on Fluid Engineering (제 14회 한국유체공학학술대회) in the Naval and Ocean Fluid Mechanics session. His talk discussed computational modeling of complex multiphase-flow phenomena.

[June 2026] Dr. Kim served as the interpreter for the opening address at the 36th Symposium on Naval Hydrodynamics [Link], co-organized by the Office of Naval Research (미국해군청) and the Society of Naval Architects of Korea (대한조선학회). He also presented his recent work on cavitation bubble dynamics, conducted in collaboration with the University of Michigan and Brown University.

[May 2026] Dr. Kim gave an invited talk at the Basilisk Monthly Meeting on his current work with the Brown University and University of Warwick teams on bioreactor modeling for cultivated meat production (인공육 생산) [Link].

[May 2026] Dr. Kim gave an invited presentation in the Early-Career Research session and received a Young Engineer Award (신진공학자상) at the Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Visualization (한국가시화정보학회).

[April 2026] Dr. Kim presented his recent work at the Spring Conference of the Korean Society for Computational Fluid Engineering (한국전산유체공학회), in the Application of CFD session. The work was conducted in collaboration with Brown University, the University of Washington, Princeton University, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

[March 2026] Dr. Kim was invited to deliver a Faculty-Student Seminar (사제동행세미나) at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Kookmin University (국민대학교), where he presented on multiphase flows and career development. The seminar was highly engaging and enjoyable.
