You can enjoy several meals such as the following (changes weekly or daily):
Lunch Plate with rice, miso soup, and meat or fish.
Rice bowls (Donburi).
Curry on rice or beef stew on rice.
Noodles; ramen, soba, and udon.
Buy meal tickets from the ticket machine (1000 JPY bills or coins only (exchange available at the counter), The numbers on the display case correspond to the numbers on the machine).
Take your tray and go to the counter corresponding to your meal ticket (From the front, in order: Lunch Plate and Rice bowls, Curry or stew, Noodles).
Exchange meal tickets for meals.
Open from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
You can enjoy several types of curry on rice and cutlet (pork or chicken).
Buy meal tickets from the ticket machine (Accepts Touch Payment, The menu may not be available in English).
Orders are sent automatically (Just wait!).
When the number on your ticket is called (*), pick up your plate at the counter.
(*) : Since numbers are called out in Japanese, recommend one of the following if you do not understand Japanese numbers:
Inform the counter staff that you do not understand Japanese numbers.
Bring someone who understands Japanese numbers.
Study Japanese numbers (wikipedia).
There are five cafeterias in total.
They are crowded with many students. You'll definitely have to wait in line and might not get a seat.
Among them, the museum's café (called 坂 Saka) is recommended because you can order coffee (you can also order just coffee.) and it tends to be less crowded.
Take your plate and go to the counter and tell the staff what you'd like to eat (all of them accommodate non-Japanese speakers).
Take your plate to the register and pay (Only cash).
