Artist Statement : 

Immersed within the depths of personal recollections and the fluidity of moments shared from one person to the next, Louisa Pichelman explores the intricacy of individual narratives through abstraction and forms. Throughout their art, they unlock sensory details that tie into their own memories to draw inspiration on the images she wishes to create. Each stroke of paint and the use of canvas manipulation conveys not only these moments, but also the emotions that resonate within her, inviting viewers to explore their own connections to the abstracted scenes depicted. Louisa Pichelman’s work serves as a vessel for reflection and hopes for new perspectives to arise with each viewer’s glance. With each movement she invites us to rediscover the community of human emotions through hues of color and the motion of the forms created.
