Artist Statement : 

I focus my work around the raw and mundane. Though often overlooked, the mundane serves as a deep well of magic. Whether a random chance conversation or peering into the cavernous gaping wounds left behind by circumstance, we can use these moments to cultivate wisdom. Much of the work I produce is based on following whims and carving personal paths of understanding. I believe in the power of the unconscious mind. To create, I must interlock the unconscious with the severely vivid (raw and mundane). In this, I am investigating the body’s innate knowledge and the fear and responsibility that follows that.
