Project Statement:
The iconography of a rocking horse has served as a representation for my early adolescence recently. A newly discovered photo of myself, untainted by future family conflicts of infidelity and divorce, captures me on a rocking horse wearing a diaper and drool covered pink butterfly shirt. This image represents the last few years of my childhood before my family was torn apart. I now grieve the time spent on that rocking horse playing pretend--manifesting I feel the comfort of those days once again.
