Artist Statement:
I have this deep rooted longing in my chest. To feel is to make one’s self human. This humanity and imperfection, this ache, is what I strive to communicate. I am a painter and a poet. My brush strokes gently mold my canvas into a messenger, a harbinger of hope.
Project statement for Killed in the Garden of Eden:
Grim reaper staking his hold in Garden of Eden - A touch of the impure tainting hallowed skin. Limbs shielding a holy man's eyes from the corruption to come. “Take a bite, the apple of my eye,” came the rotted words from the long dead lips of God's most hated creature. “To eat is to want and to want is to love. To be eaten by the wanting is to be loved by thee, take pity on the damned and eat me whole,” the plants hummed in agreement.
