Artist statement: I started art when i was able to use a pencil. It’s always has meant so much to me, and since i was a young kid i used art in a way to express my creativity and as a way to get my mind off of things. My family has always supported and encouraged me to continue to embrace my talent, and has been a huge part of my art journey.
My concentration has a very deep meaning, which I feel my audience can relate to in some kind of way. My concentration is about self conflict. I wanted my pieces to each represent a struggle i’ve dealt with in my life in a symbolic, surreal way allowing my audience to make their own assumptions on what my art is about. My concentration is in pencil, showing contrast and symbolizing the dark impact on certain emotions and feelings.
In conclusion, my art serves as a mirror reflecting the complexities of self-conflict and the struggles that many face in silence. Through the use of pencil and symbolism, I invite viewers to engage with their own emotions and experiences. Art is not only my passion but also a means to connect and communicate, and I hope my work resonates with others on a personal level.
