What Is CAF&DM?

We empower students to develop a creative voice and take creative risks in a hands-on, project-based learning environment. We promote creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills in a real-world setting. Many of our students take on additional responsibilities in their roles as editors, managers, and mentors. We serve our school through print media (newsmagazine, yearbook, literary magazine), online media (online news site and social media marketing), broadcast, film, debate, digital design and communications technology. Our students compete at the local, state, and national level. We have participated in the Southern Interscholastic Press Association convention in Columbia, South Carolina. We have attended the JEA/NSPA (National Scholastic Press Association) journalism convention in Chicago, Austin, Boston, Washington DC and Orlando.
