SALIN-KAALAMAN: Accounting for Non-Accountants (AFNA)
In 2016, the AFNA Program started as a joint project of PUP CAF, the Local Government Unit City of Mandaluyong and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) based on the of the needs assessment survey done and in line with PUP Salin Kaalaman Project of EMO which is in congruent with the University Agenda. The 24-to-30-attendee-seminar was later scaled up from local to national level during the pandemic, wherein digital technology was amplified and with the partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and PICPA-NATIONAL, the registrants increased to more than 500 participants from different regions.
Financial Literacy and Basic Bookkeeping
The Financial Literacy & Basic Bookkeeping for Cooperative Union of Mandaluyong City (CUMC), a joint internally funded extension project of the three departments of the college, the Department of Accountancy, Department of Management Accounting and Department of Financial Management. This is a series of week workshop for cooperative owners and employees of Mandaluyong.
Teaching the Basics of Accounting: An Enhancement Program
Senior High School teachers from Mandaluyong City attended the 5-day Seminar-Workshop on the Basics of Accounting: An Enhancement Program. The goal of the project is to inject additional technical know-how on the Fundamental of Accounting as well as the preparation of instructional materials for their students.
