The College aims to:
ensure the development of globally competitive professionals, managers, and leaders in the field of accountancy and finance through excellent, relevant, and responsive accountancy and finance education accessible to all Filipinos specifically to the socio-economically disadvantaged population.
ascertain the generation and diffusion of knowledge and technologies in the broad range of disciplines, relevant and allied to accountancy and finance through continuing education and research, information and communication technology, networking, and linkages with local, national, and foreign organizations.
strengthen/enhance its organizational capability to advocate reforms and innovations and fulfill its social responsibility commitment through research and development studies, and extension and consultative services.
Discuss the updated concepts and applications of accounting and auditing standards, tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and information systems that they will employ in taking assessments, resolving and recommending solutions to business issues and problems, and ensuring lifelong learning.
Allow students to conduct accountancy research through independent studies of relevant literature and appropriate use of accounting theory and methodologies.
Equip students with information technology knowledge that is in demand by the accounting and finance industries in capturing financial and non-financial information, generating and communicating reports and making decisions through the delivery of courses.
Create opportunities for students to observe and practice strong service orientation, good corporate leadership and citizenship, social responsibility, and ethical practice in performing functions within and beyond the classroom.

Dr. Julieta G. Fonte is a certified public accountant, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Accounting from the University of the East Manila. She also holds a doctorate in Philosophy major in Management. Her career began as an accounting clerk, and she later transitioned to working in the bank industry. She serves as a retainer for several small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as part of her practice as a certified public accountant.
Dr. Fonte an accredited accounting teacher by the Board of Accountancy, discovered her passion for teaching and dedicated 40 years of her career to the Polytechnic University. Since 2021 she has held the position of the Dean of the College of Accountancy and Finance, following her tenure as the Chairperson of the Department of Accountancy. One of her primary goals for the college is to elevate its performance in the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination and establish collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders to facilitate practical immersion experiences and employment prospects for accounting and finance graduates. Throughout her tenure as the Dean of the College of Accountancy and Finance, she consistently guided and supported students to achieve top rankings in the LECPA Board examination. She chaired the curriculum revision of the three programs namely: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Management Accounting, & BSBA major in Financial Management.
For 20 years, she has shown exceptional dedication and skill in her role as the Administrative and Finance Manager for a construction-owned business, while also serving as a corporate treasurer for another business, showcasing her multifaceted expertise.
She has represented PUP in the National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education (NACPAE) as the Board of Trustees and National Treasurer. She is also recognized as a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Singapore as a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Management, and is proud lifetime member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public.
