I am a Ph.D. student in Biobehavioral Health (BBH) at The Pennsylvania State University. I am a member of the Mechanisms of Emotion, Stress, and Health (MESH) lab (BBH; PI: Jennifer Graham-Engeland) and the Laboratory of Developmental Neuroscience (Psychology; PI: Suzy Scherf). My research seeks to illuminate how the visceral body, as well as the ability to sense and make sense of it (i.e., interoception), shapes adolescents' socioemotional experiences and development. I'm also interested in emotion granularity as an individual difference in affective experiences.
I received my B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, focusing on quantitative methods, developmental psychopathology, emotion, and early adversity. I also have a background in Developmental Affective/Clinical Neuroscience.
