Rwanda in-service teacher training programme is designed to empower Rwandan schoolteachers to use ICT as an educational tool to enhance their teaching and learning. To bring substantial change in the classroom, CADIE project selected a set of competencies from UNESCO ICT CFT version 3. Among competencies selected were from Advanced ICT Essentials for Teachers Course and the ICT Essentials for Teachers Course which were previously developed by REB in collaboration with UNESCO, CADIE project decided to focus on ICT tools for more hands-on practices so that teachers can apply ICT tools in the teaching and learning process. Rwanda in-service teacher training programme outlines how each of the 13 modules of study have at their core an ICT CFT competency and suggests some Open Education Resources (OERs) that can be adapted and contextualized to work within the Rwandan context.
