''THE CRADLE OF LEADERSHIP''

The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) was established at Kakul in October 1947 soon after the creation of Pakistan. PMA provides the best environment for effective grooming, moulding and development of Pakistan Army’s future leadership. It is a place where the development of sense of discipline, honour and patriotism is fostered in the cadets to enable them to serve our beloved Pakistan and to become a part of a magnificent Pakistan Army. Here, a cadet is trained to be a man of character who is clear about his aim in life and is committed to the mission and objectives assigned to him.

Following are documentaries about the PMA and the life of a cadet:

There is a long list of cadet colleges in Pakistan. Cadet college is a special school system introduced by British and later Pakistan Armed Forces adopts and make their 1st cadet college that is Military College Jhelum operated by Pak Army. Later on Pak Army, PAF, Navy and SSG also made their cadet colleges. These colleges are overseen by the GHQ. They take admissions in 8th class and students remain there till completing intermediate. They provide pre military academia training to the students. Later on many private cadet colleges were also made by local citizens which are different from colleges which are operated by Armed Forces. Some are affiliated with Pak Army. They are specifically intended to prepare young students from a very broad range of socioeconomic and linguistic backgrounds such that they can develop the demanding behavior, physical, educational, psychological and leadership qualities which are required to pass the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) exams for Armed forces. This system and its purpose is distinct from the rest of the regular schools and private cadet colleges.
