Art has a long definition that I’m going to shorten, “the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination.” Theatre gives us a way to see the world in action through the work of the human body and spirit. I have a deep respect and admiration for all art forms (music, budgeting, cooking, sculpture) and every one of them the world cannot live without. But I cannot live in the world without the use of my voice and my body. Our voices and our bodies are the things that are policed the most by our environment from the earliest parts of our existence. I am going to stretch what they are capable of while expanding my mind and expanding the range of human emotion along with it. I want to discover every lifetime to have ever existed and will ever exist through theatre - the art of being human. And with that, take the audience with me. I never want to make art to be forgotten - carry it with you always. I am going to make art in my lifetime that will change every person who sees it.
Caden Pazo (he/him) earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre from MSU Denver. Caden is a Colorado based theatrical every-man with interests in acting, stage management, stage combat, devised theatre, and arts administration. He has stage managed for Vintage Theatre, The Catamounts, Greenbox Arts Festival, and Local Theater Company and acted with Band of Toughs, Benchmark Theatre, and Wheat Ridge Theatre Company in addition to numerous technical theatre jobs in lighting and sound. While at MSU Denver, Caden served as council member on the Student Advocacy & Advisory Council in the Department of Theatre & Dance to advocate for student needs, concerns, and provide insight on ways to develop the program further. He also took a strong interest in Production Management and was instrumental in the planning and implementation of the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 Dance department showcases. This eventually led to his role in the creation of a student organization that premiered a showcase of original theatre works by students resulting in an overflow standing room only attendance. In the local community, Caden has served as Secretary and Board Member of the Colorado Theatre Guild since June 2021 to create resources and opportunities for theatre artists throughout Colorado to practice their craft. Caden aspires to make art that changes every person who experiences it. @cadenpazo
