CacheMaid will store your personally identifiable information in its local database on your own device where CacheMaid is installed. No information will be shared with other except data which is uploaded to geocaching.com using the Live API on your command. You may uninstall CacheMaid at any time and all your locally stored information will be gone.
CacheMaid uses HTTPS and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) when communicating with geocaching.com using the Live API to protect your information.
When you authenticate CacheMaid against geocaching.com, a security token is stored on your device. This token makes it possible for CacheMaid to communicate with geocaching.com and exchange data. You can revoke this token from the Authorizations page at geocaching.com at any time, for example if you loose your device. This is the standard procedure for applications using the Live API.
