Ever since we kicked off this club, our monsoon adventures have been incomplete without a thrilling escapade to Vagamon. But at CAC we're ecstatic to say that we'll be travelling into the most untouched, yet utterly magnificent corner of Vagamon. Get ready to be swept off your feet by the sheer joy and beauty that await us on this extraordinary journey! Let the excitement begin!
Coimbatore Participants:
11:45 pm > Coimbatore Railway station to Kottayam by train.
Chennai Participants:
3.20pm > Chennai Central to Kottayam by train.
Bangalore Participants:
07:00 pm > Bangalore to Kottayam by train.
Boarding stations from Bangalore are SMVT, KR Puram, Whitefield.
Coimbatore & Bangalore Participants:
06:30am > Reach Kottayam Railway station.
Chennai Participants:
04:00 am > Reach Kottayam Railway Station.Â
You will have to wait for 2 hours for other participants to reach.
After reaching Kottayam we will go on a 2 hour drive to a small village in Vagamon, we'll call it our base camp.
Leave your bags at the homestay, freshen up, and gather for a traditional Kerala-style breakfast.
10 am > We set out on an offbeat waterfall trek through Vagamon’s wild forest trails.
Return to the base camp by 3 pm.
Then we'll go on an off-road jeep ride which will take us to our final destination (top camp) for the night.
Night stay at a cozy cottage / tent, set against the backdrop of misty valleys and mountain.
Stay: Dormitory for Men / Cottage rooms for Women
Meals included: Lunch & Dinner
Mobile Connectivity: Limited (Traces of BSNL & Airtel)
Travel time: Jeeps : 3 hours
Fuel up with breakfast, then head out for one last adventure. Trek to a nearby hilltop with jaw-dropping 360° view.Â
Lunch awaits at the cottage when we return.Â
After lunch, we will depart to Cochin for a nice seafood dinner. Â
11:45 pm > Catch our train from Cochin (10.30pm by train for Chennai participants and 10.30pm by bus for Bangalore participants).
Travel time: Tempo traveler- 3hrs ; Train- 4.30hrs (overnight)

04:15 am > Arrive at Coimbatore railway station.
10:25 am > Arrive at Chennai Central railway station.
07:15 am > Arrive in Bangalore.

The trek is conducted with permissions from forest department and with a guidance of a local guide.

There will be both veg and non-veg food options available.
Strictly no alcohol at anytime during the trip.
Selection for the trip will be at the complete discretion of Coimbatore Adventure Club. Please send us the payment only if you get a confirmation from us. We will be keeping 50:50 ratio for repeating participants and new participants. Here are some of our criteria:
New participants:Â
> Solo participants will get first preference.
> Or if you have a referral from our previous participants.
> Or if you have registered for some other trip with us and didn't get a slot.
Repeating participants:
> Preference if you have engaged us in your social media posts/stories
> Or if you have referred us to someone.
> Solo participants will get preference.
Couples are welcome to register (but you may have to share accommodation with your respective gender).
Very little mobile network through Airtel & BSNL.
Male participants will stay in a comfortable dormitory. Women participants will stay in cottages on triple occupancy. Four per cottage for very bigger cottage.
Participants choosing tent option will stay in double occupancy tents.Â
Hot water: Available in the homestay.

Selection of applicants will be solely at the discretion of the Club, and its decision will be final. Please understand that we do not offer the treatment of a travel agency or holiday package. We welcome only those who are genuinely passionate about trekking to join us.Â

Payment details will be shared if you are shortlisted for the trip.
Pay Rs.2500 to confirm the trip. Balance can be paid during the trip. This cost is non-refundable as we book the trains/vans, forest entry, and the cottage.

Cancellation Policy:
1) Cancellation by participant:
Advance paid during trip confirmation is strictly non-refundable at any circumstances, as we group book the trains/vans, and accommodation. Also note that the advance payment will strictly be not transferrable to someone else or to a future trip, incase you are not joining the trip. Incase a participant cancels at the last moment (within 48 hours of trip starting time), they will be requested to settle the balance trip cost.
2) Cancellation due to unforeseen situations beyond our control:
In the event of trip cancellations due to natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, or government-imposed restrictions)—essentially, any situation beyond CAC’s control—train cancellation charges (up to â‚ą650 for 3AC and â‚ą300 for Sleeper Class) will be non-refundable. The remaining amount can be fully transferred to rescheduled dates or applied to any other trip of your choice.Â
