Join us for a Vietnam journey that stretches from lantern-lit towns and misty highlands to limestone valleys and lively city streets.

This experience moves through some of the most beautiful regions of Central and Northern Vietnam — blending mountain landscapes, countryside roads, sleeper train journeys, local food, and slow exploration into one seamless route across the country.

From scooter rides through rice terraces and cave boating in Ninh Binh to sunrise moments above the clouds at Fansipan, the journey constantly shifts in mood and scenery. Along the way, overnight trains, mountain stays, hilltop resorts, and open evenings in Hanoi make the experience feel immersive, varied, and full of movement — where the travel itself becomes just as memorable as the destinations.

🍜 ITINERARY

You may choose your journey based on the kind of experience you seek — either a complete route through Central & Northern Vietnam, or a shorter escape focused entirely on the landscapes and highlands of Northern Vietnam alone.

- Central & Northern Vietnam (Day 1–10) — Covering Hoi An, Ba Na Hills, Ninh Binh, Sapa, and Hanoi.
- Northern Vietnam Only (Day 5–10 | From 30th June) — Focused on Ninh Binh, Sapa and Hanoi.

Note: The Northern Vietnam section of the journey will be experienced together by all participants.

🇻🇳 Day-1 (26 Jun, Fri)

Travel to Central Vietnam - to the city of Lanterns

Land at Da Nang International Airport (DAD) anytime before 1:00 PM on this day.
From here, travel to Hoi An—often called the City of Lanterns.
Spend the evening exploring its lantern-lit streets on foot, discovering riverside cafés, old-town charm, and local street food along the way.

🇻🇳 Day-2 (27 Jun, Sat)

Coconut Groves to Cloudy Peaks

Explore Hoi An on self-driven scooters and experience the famous coconut basket boat ride through the coconut groves.
Later, proceed to Ba Na Hills—Vietnam’s mountain-top theme park, reached by one of the world’s longest cable car rides, soaring above forests, waterfalls, and valleys below.
At the summit, explore the French-inspired village, the iconic Golden Bridge, gardens, cafés, and more. Unlike regular visitors, the stay for the night is right on top of Ba Na Hills itself, at the only resort located within the hill station.
By evening, as the crowds leave, the hills turn quieter and more magical—ending the day with a relaxed evening in the cool mountain air.

🇻🇳 Day-3 (28 Jun, Sun)

Golden Bridge Mornings & Sleeper Train Nights

Start the morning with a sunrise stroll through the beautiful hills of Ba Na, reaching the Golden Bridge before the crowds arrive.
After a lavish breakfast, spend time enjoying the rides and attractions around the hill station, followed by one of the spectacular performances by international artists in the afternoon.
Later, bid goodbye to Ba Na Hills and descend by cable car before continuing towards the countryside landscapes of Ninh Binh.
By evening, comes a unique experience—an overnight sleeper train journey through Vietnam. Travel in AC sleeper berths as the train rolls through the country overnight towards Ninh Binh. Dinner can be enjoyed at the onboard restaurant, adding another memorable layer to the journey.

🇻🇳 Day-4 (29 Jun, Mon)

Cave boating - A Kong Island experience

Ninh Binh is one of the lesser-explored regions of Vietnam, known for its dramatic natural landscapes and peaceful countryside roads—making it a perfect place to explore on scooters.
If time and weather permit, ride towards Hang Mua after breakfast and climb to the top for sweeping panoramic views over the limestone valleys below.
Post lunch, head for a boat ride through Trang An, a UNESCO-recognized natural and cultural heritage site. The journey passes through a network of caves—long and short, bright and completely dark—making it a truly unique experience.
Night stay at a peaceful homestay in Ninh Binh.

Into the Highlands of Sapa

After breakfast, travel from Ninh Binh to Hanoi, passing through the changing landscapes of northern Vietnam.
By evening, board a sleeper bus towards the mountain town of Sapa, arriving by night amidst the cool highland air.
If you are choosing only the Northern Vietnam package, you will be landing at Hanoi Airport (HAN) by 12:00 PM on this day. The trip leader will receive you at the airport, after which you can board the bus to Sapa along with the rest of the group.

🇻🇳 Day-6 (01 Jul, Wed)

Fansipan: Where Earth Meets Sky

Ride the Muong Hoa Scenic Train from Hoang Lien Station to Fansipan Station, passing through the stunning valleys and mountain landscapes of Sapa.
From here, continue by cable car towards Fansipan Peak, followed by the funicular mountain train to reach the summit—known as the “Roof of Indochina.”
For those interested, there is also an optional visit to the Rong May Glass Bridge, the longest glass bridge in Vietnam, along with its adventure activities and panoramic viewpoints.

Sapa Rice Terraces & Train to Hanoi

Explore the villages around Sapa on scooters, riding through mountain roads, rice terraces, and quiet local settlements.
By evening, travel to Lao Cai and board the overnight sleeper train back to Hanoi.

Hanoi at Leisure or Ha Long by Day

The day is open to explore Hanoi at your own pace, wander through its streets, cafés, and local corners.
Hanoi is a shopper’s paradise, with streets lined with branded clothing stores, stylish footwear outlets, and charming local boutiques. The street food scene is equally lively, offering a wide variety of flavors, including popular snacks inspired by Korean and Japanese cuisine.
Optional activity: Head out on a luxury day cruise to Ha Long Bay. This full-day experience includes round-trip transfers from Hanoi, a lavish buffet lunch onboard, and one activity—either self-paddled kayaking or a traditional sampan boat ride, all set against the backdrop of stunning limestone landscapes.

🇻🇳 Day-9 (04 Jul, Sat)

Venice Vibes in Hanoi

Head out from Hanoi towards the Red River Rock Garden to experience the scenic riverside rainbow slides and stroll through the vibrant flower gardens.
Later, continue towards Mega Grand World in Hưng Yên—a lively entertainment and shopping complex inspired by European-style streets and canals.
As evening sets in, enjoy a gondola ride through the Venice-inspired waterways before ending the day with “The Grand Voyage,” a spectacular light and water show, followed by the drive back to Hanoi.

The trip cost is calculated based on the current USD–INR exchange rate (1 USD = ₹94.2 as of 07-May). The final cost may increase or decrease marginally depending on the exchange rate one week prior to the trip.

- Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks, landslides, floods and/or any factors beyond control. If flights get cancelled due to weather, we will arrange alternative stay at minimal cost.

🍜 GENERAL INFO

Basics:

- Total number of slots: 14
- Age group: 18 to 45
- A valid Indian Passport with at-least 6 months validity from your date of travel is required.
- Gender ratio: We will ensure that there is a min of 40% female participants.
- First preference for solo participants. We will accept only one couple for the entire group. However, there will be an additional sur-charge for couples requesting for a Double bedroom.
- Generally, we don't allow group participation in any of our trips. However, you are permitted to bring along one of your friends or a family member with you.
- Group registrations of more than 3 persons will most likely get rejected.
- All activities are subject to weather and local rules.
- Please note that there could be small changes in the itinerary due to local restrictions, and suitable alternative plans will made in such cases.
- We will assist you to get your currency exchanged before your travel.

Flights:

- We prefer that you book international flight tickets by yourself to take advantage of best possible rates and bank offers.
- We will be sharing a detailed guide for booking the flight yourself. Kindly book flights only after you receive the flight booking detailed info document from CAC.
- Flights have to be booked as mentioned below:
  - - Onward flight:
      - Central & Northern Vietnam: Land in Da Nang International Airport (DAD) any time before 1:00 PM on 26-Jun.
        Only Northern Vietnam: Land in Hanoi International Airport (HAN) any time before 12:00 PM on 30-Jun.
    - Return flight: Fly from Hanoi International Airport (HAN) any time on 05-Jul.
- Please book flights only after you make the advance payment for the trip, and after receiving an acknowledgement from CAC about your slot confirmation.
- Airport pickup and drop are included only if you choose our recommended flights or arrive within 1 hour of the suggested flight time in the same airport.
- At the time of confirmation, we will let you know which flights needs to be booked, so that the entire team travels together. We can help you if you really need any flight booking assistance.

Accommodations:

- All accommodations are 3 sharing, sometimes 4 sharing in bigger rooms.
- Separate double rooms for couples can be arranged for all days at an additional cost. Contact us for details.

Food:

- Pork and beef are very common in Vietnamese cuisine. Chicken & seafood will be available but sometimes limited.
- Vegetarian food will be very hard to find in most places. But we will try to get Vietnamese veg food arranged for you but that cannot be assured. Hence, vegetarians must carry some ready-to-eat food packets from India, or this trip will be very difficult.
- All the eateries will have chopsticks only and it's hard to find a fork and spoon. Please carry fork and spoon if you don't want to use chopsticks.
- Please note, we will strictly NOT visit any Indian Restaurants. We expect all those who join us to enjoy Vietnamese local food.
- Some of the places in the itinerary where we will be travelling are very rarely visited by Indians. And chances of Indian food are almost NIL.

Be a responsible traveller:

- Remember we are visiting another country, and it is important to respect local traditions and culture. Be kind to everyone.

Baggage Restrictions:

- On local trains and buses in Vietnam, you are strictly allowed to carry up to 20 kg of luggage only. Backpacks or rucksacks are preferred over trolley bags.
- Please let us know if you have any concerns on the baggage rules.

Payment details:

Payment Schedule:
- 1. First payment (For slot confirmation): ₹20,000 (non-refundable & non-transferable)
  2. Balance payment to be settled during the trip in US Dollars or Vietnamese Dong.
Option to pay the advance amounts through credit cards / wallets are also possible. Do request us at the time of payment.
Payment details will be shared if you are shortlisted for the trip.
We do have EMI option, but there will be processing fee and interest.

Registration & Selection Process:

- Registration: If you are interested in joining this trip, please complete your registration by clicking on the link provided at the end of this itinerary.
- Invitation and Selection Process: Once you register, shortlisted participants will receive an official invitation to join the trip along with details for making the advance payment. Please note that the selection process is solely at the discretion of Coimbatore Adventure Club. If all slots are filled, we will notify you and place you on a waitlist.
- Advance Payment: Shortlisted participants will receive advance payment instructions. Your slot for the trip will be confirmed only upon successful payment of the advance.
- Flight Tickets: After your advance payment is processed and confirmed by us, you may proceed to book your flight tickets.
- Note: Registering for the trip via the provided link does not guarantee a slot. Confirmation is subject to the selection process and availability of slots.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by participant:

- Advance paid during trip confirmation is strictly non-refundable at any circumstances, as we group book the transports, accommodations and activities. Also note that the advance payment will strictly be not transferrable to someone else or to a future trip, in case you are not joining the trip.
- Cancellations made within 15 days of the trip require participants to cover 75% of the total trip cost, since most bookings are confirmed and non-refundable by this stage. You will be required to settle the applicable amount. Please note that non-compliance may affect your eligibility for future trips with CAC.
- Exception: A refund of the advance will be provided only in the case of a visa rejection by the Vietnam Embassy.

Cancellation due to unforeseen situations beyond our control:

In the event of trip cancellations due to natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, or government-imposed restrictions)—essentially, any situation beyond CAC’s control—cancellation charges up to ₹2,000 will be non-refundable. The remaining amount can be fully transferred to rescheduled dates or applied to any other trip of your choice.

- Coimbatore Adventure Club reserves the right to remove any participant from the trip at any time if they engage in any illicit or inappropriate behavior. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all travelers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
