This trek takes you to the tallest peak of the Agumbe rainforests on a one-way trail from Malanduru to Kigga, with no backtracking.

The route is very different from Kudremukh, Kurinjal, or Kumaraparvatha. While it’s a tough trek, anyone with decent fitness can attempt it. To make things easier, we’ll be staying at the cozy cottages of Seethanadhi Nature Camp, known for its food and close-to-nature setting.

🚆Day 0: (Sat, 29-Nov-25)

Coimbatore Participants:

09:30 PM > Coimbatore Junction Railway station to Mangalore Central by train.

Chennai Participants:

01:25 PM > Chennai Central Railway station to Mangalore Central by train.

Bangalore Participants:

10:00 PM > Kempegowda Bus Terminal to Mangalore Bus stand.

🚐 Day 1: (Sun, 30-Nov-25)

Seethanadhi Nature Camp

We will arrive at the following timings in Mangalore:
06:00 AM > Coimbatore & Chennai participants at Mangalore Central Railway station
05:30 AM > Bangalore participants at Mangalore bus stand
All participants will start from Mangalore at 6:30 AM, have breakfast enroute, and head towards the waterfalls at the foothills of Agumbe.
After exploring the waterfalls, we’ll continue to our stay at Seethanadi Nature Camp, an eco-friendly retreat run by Jungle Lodges, a Karnataka government initiative promoting sustainable tourism.
After lunch, we’ll take a short hike to the river, enjoy a coracle ride, and spend some quiet time soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. In the evening, we’ll gather for group introductions, games, and casual conversations, connecting with fellow travelers over shared stories and experiences.

🚐 Day 2: (Mon, 01-Dec-25)

Narasimha Parvatha Trek

07:00AM > The trek to Narasimha Parvatha starts early in the morning from Malanduru in Agumbe (40 mins drive from Seethanadi Nature Camp). This trek is conducted and guided by the Forest Department.
Unlike most treks, this one follows a one-way route from Malanduru to Kigga so there's no retracing your steps. Along the way, we’ll encounter the beautiful Sita River, which plunges from a height of 850 feet to create the stunning Barkana Falls (10th highest waterfall in India), a sight to behold.
We'll enjoy a packed lunch at the summit near the Narasimha temple and, following our meal, begin our descent.
We will be ending our trek in Kigga.
After the completion of the trek, we will head to Mangalore for Dinner.
11:30 PM – Board bus to Bangalore.
11:45 PM – Board train to Chennai & Coimbatore.

Inclusions:

Travel time: 2.5 hours on road in a van & Overnight train/bus journey
Trek time: 8 hours (19 kms in total)

07:30 AM > Arrive at Coimbatore Railway Station.
04:00 PM > Arrive at Chennai Central Railway Station.
05:30 AM > Arrive in Bangalore.

Room types will be allotted strictly on a first-come, first-serve basis at the time of trip confirmation. If the room type you chose is not available, we’ll upgrade you to the next available choice and keep you informed about the same.

Sunday Breakfast and Monday Dinner (We will have it during the travel)
Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay due to ill health, roadblocks, landslides, floods and/or any factors beyond control.

🧗 General Info:

Basics:

Total number of slots: 14
Age group: 18 to 45
Gender ratio: To encourage female travelers, we will ensure that there is a min of 40% female participants.
Trek Difficulty: Difficult for regular trekkers, Very Difficult for first timers.
Trek Distance: 16 kms to be covered in 8 hours (complete trek distance)
We will be booking your train tickets & all other transportation.
Local transportation for two days from Mangalore to Mangalore will be by Tempo traveler.
The trek is conducted with permissions from forest department and with a guidance of a local guide.
Strictly no alcohol or smoking at any time during the trip.
First preference for solo participants and couples. Generally, we don't allow group participation in any of our trips. However, female participants are welcome to bring one of their friends along with them, while male participants can only join solo and are not permitted to bring along another person.
Couples are welcome to register. The total number of couples in a trip will be limited to one.

Accommodations:

We will be staying in AC or Non-AC Wooden Cottages in the Seethanadi Nature Camp.
Double/Triple sharing rooms (separate for boys & girls) with attached washrooms.

Others:

Detailed information on Things to carry, do's and don'ts will be provided post confirmation for the trip.

Selection process:

Selection for the trip will be at the complete discretion of Coimbatore Adventure Club. Please send us the payment only if you get a confirmation from us. We will be keeping 50:50 ratio for repeating participants and new participants. Here are some of our criteria:
- New participants:

> Solo participants will get first preference.

> Or if you have a referral from our previous participants.

> Or if you have registered for some other trip with us and didn't get a slot.

Repeating participants:

> Preference if you have engaged us in your social media posts/stories

> Or if you have referred us to someone.

> Solo participants will get preference.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Coimbatore Adventure Club reserves the right to remove any participant from the trip at any time if they engage in any illicit or inappropriate behavior. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all travelers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We will send confirmation through WhatsApp message. In case you are not selected, you will get a regret message from our side.
Payment details will be shared if you are shortlisted for the trip.
Pay ₹5,000 to confirm the trip. Balance can be paid during the trip to the trip leader. This cost is non-refundable as we book the trains/vans, forest entry, and the cottages.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by participant:

Advance paid during trip confirmation is strictly non-refundable at any circumstances, as we group book the trains/vans, and accommodation. Also note that the advance payment will strictly be not transferrable to someone else or to a future trip, in case you are not joining the trip. In case a participant cancels at the last moment (within 48 hours of trip starting time), they will be requested to settle the balance trip cost.

Cancellation due to unforeseen situations beyond our control:

In the event of trip cancellations due to natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, or government-imposed restrictions)—essentially, any situation beyond CAC’s control—train cancellation charges (up to ₹650 for 3AC and ₹300 for Sleeper Class) will be non-refundable. The remaining amount can be fully transferred to rescheduled dates or applied to any other trip of your choice.
