The Maldives isn't just about luxury and romance; it's an underwater wonderland waiting to be explored. If the thought of pristine reefs, vibrant marine life, and endless shades of blue excites you, this is your calling.

For those who cherish the sea, the Maldives offers the perfect playground. We’re ditching the usual resort vibes to create a journey for true ocean lovers. This isn’t the Maldives you’ve seen in postcards; it’s the one that lives beneath the waves.

Pack your curiosity and join us on a one-of-a-kind escapade to the world’s ultimate island paradise. A love for water is the only thing we ask you to bring along.

ITINERARY:

🇲🇻 Day-1 (Sat, 22-Feb): Landing in Paradise

By morning, we will fly from our cities to the capital of Maldives, which is Malé. We will fly from different airports based on the convenience of everyone (Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore or Cochin). However, at the time of trip confirmation we will share a detailed flight booking guide, so that we fly together as a group from our respective cities.
Land at Malé by evening. The airport itself is on a standalone island. We will be taking a speed boat to go to the Island called Maafushi where we will be staying for the next few days.
Maafushi is a local island, and not a resort island. Remember we mentioned a while ago, this is NOT a honeymoon trip.
The reason we opted to stay in Maafushi is because, this trip is all about extreme water adventure. And not for just relaxing while staring at the ocean. Staying at Maafushi will enable us to experience water adventure for a fraction of the cost you may pay in resorts.
But we will also get to visit a RESORT island later during this trip, and be there for one complete day during this trip.
Once you are in Maafushi, explore the island, the culture, food and the beaches. We will be staying for the night in a Hotel in Maafushi.

🇲🇻 Day-2 (Sun, 23-Feb): Underwater Encounters

After an early breakfast, we will be proceeding to the jetty to begin our ocean adventures.
Snorkeling in the Maldives is one of the best in the world, and the excellent reefs and abundance of marine life makes this destination an ocean lover's dream.
We will be going on a full day ocean excursion, a bit far from our island, and here's some of the exotic adventures we will be doing during this excursion:
- Snorkeling with nurse sharks
- Snorkeling in the Shipwreck
- Dolphin sighting
- Sandbank visit
During the excursion, we will have a stopover at a small island, where we will have our lunch.
We will be back at our hotel by around 4pm.

Note: We have included the cost of photos and videos while you are underwater. The water sports guides will take the photos for you.

🇲🇻 Day-3 (Mon, 24-Feb): Day at a Private Island Resort

Visit to Maldives is never complete without the experience of visiting a Resort Island. (Refer to our FAQs below to know what are Resort Islands & Local Islands).
In the Maldives, generally every resort is located on its own separate Island. The beaches in the resorts are more exotic, and it's a once in a lifetime experience to visit these resorts.
We will be spending this complete day in a 5-star resort.
Just kick off your shoes and walk on those clean beaches, have a lavish spread of exotic lunch, unlimited beverages throughout the day so you don't get dehydrated, and we will return to our island by evening.

🇲🇻 Day-4 (Tue, 25-Feb): Finding Nemo

Ever wondered how it feels to swim inside a huge aquarium filled with colorful corals and tropical fishes. How about experiencing the same in the ocean itself? This day we will be having an experience similar to Finding Nemo in the ocean. The experts will take us for a ride to a place which have been identified to have a spectacular & dense underwater activity. We will snorkel right there to experience the incredible marine life.
Once done, we will have a stopover at a sandbank for lunch. This will be the most unique location for lunch which you'll remember forever. Imagine a small piece of empty land (the size of a badminton court) right in middle of the ocean. That's a sandbank.
After lunch we will get back to Maafushi, checkout from the hotel and we will hop to Male, the capital city of Maldives, located on its own Island, by a speed boat. We have included this to make our trip to Maldives more fulfilling. Gone are those days where people just land in Maldives and go directly to a resort, do nothing, and return directly to the airport. Maybe you can do this after your 40s. But experiencing a country with us is more than just being in a resort. By the end of this trip, you will have a huge insight of how this island works, how the lifestyle is etc. There are no cars, bikes in most of the local islands. Everything is different when compared to our cities. It's the island life, and you will be amazed.
In Male city, we will explore the city by foot, hop on to cafes, shop for souvenirs, and stay at a comfortable hotel.

🇲🇻 Day-5 (Wed, 26-Feb): Depart to India

Our Maldives trips come to an end on this day. After breakfast, we will take a local boat ride to the airport.

TRIP COST:

Package A (Without activities): ₹32,000/-

➭ This package is suitable for those who are joining this trip only to chill and relax in Maldives. This package covers only the accommodations, breakfast and airport-hotel-airport speedboat transfer.

Package B (With all mentioned activities): ₹59,000/-

➭ This package is suitable for those who would like to experience all the activities.

Inclusions:

☑ Airport pickups and drop-offs (there could be small cost added if you don't travel along with the group, and if we have to arrange a separate airport pickup for you).

Exclusions:

✖ International flight tickets. (Approx Rs.26000 from Cochin)

✖ Travel insurance. (Approx Rs.600)

✖ All dinners (it will cost Rs.1000 to Rs.1300 per dinner).

✖ Any extra water bottles you might purchase at the hotel.

✖ Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks, landslides, floods and/or any factors beyond control. If flights get cancelled due to weather, we will arrange alternative stay at minimal cost.

How much extra will I have to spend?

➭ The following are the only things for which you will require extra money:

▪️ 4 dinners (₹1000 x 4 = ₹4000 minimum)

▪️ Snacks / soft drinks / water bottles (₹1500).

Payment terms:

➭ Advance amount to confirm the trip is ₹20000 (non-refundable).

➭ Option to pay advance amount through credit cards / wallets are also possible. Do request us at the time of payment.

➭ Balance payment to be settled during the trip.

➭ Payment details will be shared if you are shortlisted for the trip.

➭ We do have EMI option, but there will be processing fee and interest.

GENERAL INFO:

Eligibility:

➭ Age group: 18 to 40.

➭ A valid Indian Passport with at least 6 months validity (from the travel date) is required.

➭ First preference for solo participants; Couples are welcome to join (No additional charges for double sharing rooms).

➭ Group registrations of more than 3 persons will most likely get rejected.

➭ Please note that there could be small changes in the itinerary due to local restrictions, and suitable alternative plans will made in such cases.

➭ All activities are subject to weather conditions and local govt. rules.

➭ We will assist you to get your currency exchanged before your travel.

Basics:

➭ Group size: Limited to 14 slots

➭ Gender ratio: To encourage female travelers, we will ensure that there is a min of 50% female participants.

Flights:

➭ At the time of confirmation, we will suggest the flights which needs to be booked. We believe that it's a joy to get to know your co-travelers right from the departure airport, so we will try to get everyone to book the same flights.

➭ Coimbatore & Chennai participants: There are only connecting flights to Maldives. You may travel to Cochin/Bangalore and take a cheaper flight, or choose connecting flight option.

➭ It's better to have your lunch during your flights. Please book it along with your ticket.

Network Connectivity:

➭ Wi-Fi available in the hotel (not very fast). Sim card can be purchased from the airport (only if its very necessary). Airtel/Jio works in the island, if international roaming activated.

Weather:

➭ Max 31°C / Min 26°C

Note:

➭ Please note that all activities are weather based. Though our team may put all our efforts for the sighting of aquatic creatures, there could be a small chance of not being able to sight due to factors related to nature.

➭ Please note that in case you are not able to do an activity, it will be difficult for us to provide a refund, as we group book all activities.

➭ Please note that the main motive of this trip is for ocean adventures and not luxury.

FAQs:

Is Visa necessary?

➭ You will be provided with a Visa on arrival when you land at Maldives airport.

Will Coimbatore Adventure Club help in booking the flights?

➭ Yes, we will surely help if you request us. But we always prefer our participants to book the flight on their own, because when we book, it is a little expensive by about 10% than what you see in online booking websites. But we will give you full guidance of which flights need to be booked.

Do I need to know swimming to experience the ocean adventures?

➭ No, knowing swimming is not compulsory. All activities can be experienced with a life jacket. But swimming will be an added advantage to go a bit deeper and close to the corals.

How does the EMI option work?

➭ The EMI option is provided by a renowned banking partner. You can opt for 3 months or higher repayment option, and they will auto-debit your bank account every month. If you are interested to opt for an EMI, we will raise the request with the banking partner. They will get in touch with you.

Why are there no water sports in the itinerary (like jet ski, kayaking)?

➭ Water sports like kayaking, jet skiing, and parasailing are available in many places across India, such as Pondicherry, Varkala, Mulki, Goa, Gokarna, and the Andamans. However, unique experiences like snorkeling with sharks in the Maldives are truly one-of-a-kind and not something you can find elsewhere. Instead of opting for the usual activities that are easily accessible in Goa or Varkala, we recommend embracing the exclusivity of what the Maldives has to offer. That said, if you'd still like to include these activities, we can explore the possibility of arranging them during any free time, though we cannot promise availability.

I am interested in scuba diving. Is it possible during this trip?

➭ Yes, but you will have to travel one day in advance to do Scuba diving. We will let you know during the confirmation process if there are others who are interested too, and we will club you up with them. Cost of Scuba will be USD100, and cost for an extra night accommodation will be Rs.4500 per head for a double sharing room.

What kind of hotels are we going to stay in?

➭We have mentioned that this is not a honeymooner's trip. This trip is to experience the best of ocean adventures of Maldives. So, we have kept our stay cost to a bare minimum, many times cheaper than what you may pay in private resorts islands. We will be staying in a clean and very comfortable hotel. Remember this trip is for the ocean lovers and not for the rooms, the beds and the washroom lovers.

Can couples join?

➭ Though first preference is for solo participants, if there's slots left, we may give those slots for a couple. Couples will get a separate room for themselves. As with all our trips, there will be a maximum of one couple per trip.

How about the food? How vegetarian friendly is it?

➭ Every morning there will be a simple breakfast in the hotel where we will be staying. There will be veg options too. And basic veg lunch will be provided during the excursion. We will be having all the dinners in any of the many restaurants/cafes in the island. Usually they charge approx. 12-16 USD (₹1000 to ₹1300) for one dinner.

How about Network connectivity?

➭ Male airport has free Wi-Fi. The hotel that we will be staying has free Wi-Fi. There won't be any connectivity when you are travelling between islands. If you need a local sim card, you can buy them outside the airport (approx. 3500 INR for 20 GB data, 30 days validity).

➭ However, we feel this is not required unless you need superfast internet connectivity. Hotel Wi-Fi are not very fast. You can also activate/recharge international roaming on your Indian sim card and use them in Maldives for attending any important calls.

What is the difference between a resort island and a local island?

➭ Resort Islands mean, there will be only one resort in the entire island. Entry to the island is managed by the resorts. And without a booking, you won't be able to enter into these islands. We will be visiting one of the resort islands during our trip and will be there from morning till evening.

➭ Local Islands is where the locals (Maldivians) stay. They have their houses, schools, hospitals, and every basic requirement. And there are guest houses and hotels too in these islands. We will be staying in one of the local islands called Maafushi.

What do I wear for this trip?

➭ Maldives is a Muslim country. And as we will be staying in a local island, there are some restrictions in the clothes you will wear. You cannot wear anything less than a shorts/short sleeve t-shirt in the island. But there is a private touristy beach, where you can wear any swimwear.

If I opt of Package-A (without activities), will I be able to opt-in after reaching Maldives?

➭ Surely you can, but the activities will be at a higher cost, and upon availability.

Will there be a similar trip to the Maldives by CAC in the future?

➭ We will have a monsoon Maldives plan during June or July. Totally different Itinerary to suit the weather. To a more far off island. And with more extreme adventures. It will be a bit more expensive than this trip too. We may have to take a domestic flight inside Maldives for that trip.
