This wonderful journey takes you deep into the Western Ghats, where dense forests, misty hills and Off-the-beaten-path trails shows a completely different side of Goa. Step beyond Goa’s famous shoreline and discover its untouched side.

Each day offers a new experience—from relaxing at a peaceful valley resort with stunning mountain views and an infinity pool, to exploring hidden waterfalls, hiking coastal hills, and discovering quiet beaches.

Along the way, explore timeless heritage sites that reflect Goa’s rich cultural past.

From magical sunset treks, funicular train station within forest to scenic routes and heritage discoveries, this adventure promises a side of Goa that few travelers experience. It shows you the state's natural beauty, Goan life and food, making it an unforgettable experience into the Goa beyond the beaches.

📋ITINERARY

🏕️ Day-0 (Thursday, 11 June)

Travel Day: All Routes to Goa

📍 Coimbatore participants:

- 04:30 PM - Assemble at Gandhipuram, Coimbatore.
- 05:00 PM - Begin the journey towards Shoranur Railway Station.
- 08:00 PM - Arrive at Shoranur Railway Station.
- 09:00 PM - Board the Rajdhani Express (Train No. 12431) from Shoranur to MadgoanRailway station,Goa.
  - Note : As the monsoon season begins in June, train timings on the Konkan Railway may change due to speed restrictions. We have considered the expected changes and planned the Coimbatore departure at 5:00 PM. If there are no changes, the departure may be revised to 7:00 PM from Coimbatore. The updated timetable will be announced by Indian Railways in the last week of May, and the same will be communicated to all participants.

📍 Participants from other cities:

Option 1 : Join the trip from Coimbatore.
Option 2 : Reach Goa (on 12-Jun) directly on your own.
If you're travelling on your own,
- By road or rail: Reach Madgaon Railway Station before 9:00 AM on 12-Jun. If you arrive early and require accommodation nearby, it can be arranged at an additional cost. If you need transport suggestions, we can share the common transport plan opted by other participants from your city.
- By air: Reach either of the Goa airports (GOI or GOX) before 11:00 AM on 12-Jun. We shall arrange an airport pickup to Wildernest Resort at an additional cost of ₹3,000 per car (3 seater), which can be shared among the participants traveling with you, if there are anyone.

Transport: Any travel charges to Goa (if arriving on your own) is not included.
Meals: Dinner.

Travel time: 3 Hours of road journey to reach Shoranur railway station from Coimbatore.
Train sleeper class for Coimbatore participants will be 3AC Sleeper. If you prefer 2AC Sleeper train, please input the same while registration, if available we will book the preferred tickets.

🏕️ Day-1 (Friday, 12 June)

Chorla Ghats & Sunset Trails

10:00 AM - Arrive at Madgaon Railway Station and travel towards Chorla Ghats.
- The final stretch to the stay will be in a funicular train ride.
- Enjoy a traditional Goan and Marathi lunch at Wildernest.
- Post lunch, take part in in-house activities.
- In the evening, go for a short trek to a nearby highest point (~2 hours).
- Watch a cultural folk dance performance followed by a traditional Goan dinner.
- After dinner, enjoy a night trail walk within the property

Accomodation - Triple/Quad sharing room in Wildernest Resort.
Transport - All local transport (starting from Madgoan railway station).
Meals - Lunch and Dinner.

ℹ️ Additional info:

Travel time: 2 hours by road to reach Wildernest resort.
Our stay will be in the Wildernest Nature Resort which is set within a 700-acre private forest sanctuary, located in the tri junction of three states Goa, Karnataka and Maharastra.
It offers an untouched nature experience while supporting conservation of forests, wildlife, and vital river ecosystems.
In-house artistic activities in resort include pottery.
Stay in wooden cottages with options for forest view (no additional cost) or valley view (available at an additional cost).
Guided night walks are conducted by naturalists, offering chances to spot reptiles and other nocturnal wildlife.

Day 1 - Accommodation | Wildernest Nature Resort - Chorla Ghats, Goa

🏞️ Day-2 (Saturday, 13 June)

Waterfalls treks to Coastline walks

07:00 AM - Begin the most exciting trek of the trip: the Wildernest Waterfalls Trek (~2.5 hours).
After breakfast, unwind at the infinity pool or explore the resort surroundings on your own.
Check out and head towards the coast for next trail.
Post lunch, begin the seaside adventure - Fortaleza Cabo trek in South Goa.
After the trek, return to Panjim by night and stay in Fontainhas, the historic and colorful Latin Quarter, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Zone since 1984.

Transport - All local transport.
Meals - Breakfast.
Seaside trek - Trek entry fee and local guide fee.

Meals - Lunch and Dinner.

ℹ️ Additional info:

The waterfall trek within the Wildernest resort is a beautiful experience, offering dense jungle trails, stream crossings and thrilling river crossings.
Fortelza Cabo - Seaside trek is a refreshing hike along the rolling coastal hills south of Cabo de Rama Fort, a century-old historic fort known for its scenic views and rich past. The trail passes through coconut plantations, cashew groves, and dense forests, with crossings over seasonal streams, and ends with a descent to the quiet Beach, with steps leading down to the shore. (Note: In case of harsh weather, an alternative exotic jungle adventure with private waterfalls and stream crossings may be arranged.)
Overnight stay at Hotel Mateus, which is a beautifully restored Indo-Portuguese mansion located in the historic Fontainhas district. It is a heritage charm with modern comforts and conveniently located near the Mandovi River within walking distance.
Night stay will be in triple occupancy rooms, if you prefer double sharing rooms, it will be available at extra cost and please choose accomodation accordingly while registration.
Travel time - 3 hours of road journey from resort in North Goa to seaside trek spot in South Goa.
Travel time - 2 hours of road journey from seaside trek spot in South Goa to North Goa, Panjim.

Day 2 - Accommodation | Mateus Hotel - Fontainhas, Goa

🏞️ Day-3 (Sunday, 14 June)

Hidden Waterfalls Trek & Departure

Check out from the hotel before breakfast.
Travel to the trek base, have breakfast and begin the trek to a hidden waterfalls.
Gear up for a 4 hour trekking adventure, followed by a countryside homestay lunch with local Goan flavors.
After completing the trek, our exotic journey comes to an end as we proceed to the railway station/airport/bus station for the return journey.
07:30 PM - Coimbatore participants will board the Madgaon–Ernakulam Express train (Train No. 10215) and journey towards Shoranur Railway Station begins (Note: Departure time may vary as per the monsoon timetable, and delays are possible.)

📍 Participants from other cities

By road or rail: Kindly book a bus/train to your destination with departures after 07:00 PM. If you require accommodation nearby due to late departures, it can be arranged at an additional cost. If you need transport suggestions, we can share the common transport plan opted by other participants from your city. We will be dropping you at Madgoan Railway station by 5:30pm.
By air: You may book your flights from either of the Goa airports after 09:00 PM (GOI) or after 07:00 PM (GOX). Airport drop can be arranged at an additional cost of ₹3,000 per car (3 seater), which can be shared among participants travelling together with you, if there are anyone.
Please note: If you would like to arrange the Airport drop by yourself, please feel free to do so. You may get cheaper options in the last minute if done by yourself. However if you would want us to arrange, please let us know earlier before the trip begins.

- Transport - local transportation in Goa and Train ticket fee for Coimbatore participants.
- Meals - Breakfast and Lunch.
- Waterfall trek - Entry fee and local guide fee.

❌ Exclusions:

- Transport - Cab charges for airport/KSRTC bus stand drop.
- Meals - Dinner.

ℹ️ Additional info:

2 hours of road journey to waterfall trek base.
2 hours of road journey from waterfall trek base to Madgoan railway station.
Train class for Coimbatore participants will be 3AC Sleeper. If you prefer 2AC Sleeper train, please input the same while registration, if available we will book the preferred tickets.
Train timings on the Konkan Railway may change in early June due to monsoon speed restrictions. Train may depart later than scheduled, and arrival in Coimbatore may be slightly delayed.

🏕️ Day-4 (Monday, 15 June)

05:30 AM - Coimbatore participants arrive at Shoranur Railway Station and from there journey towards Coimbatore begins.
09:00 AM - Participants will be dropped at Gandhipuram.

- Transport - Local transport to reach Coimbatore.

❌ Exclusions:

- Meals - Breakfast.

ℹ️ Additional info:

3 Hours of road journey to reach Coimbatore from Shoranur.
If the train time is postponed due to monsoon timetable there will be 2 Hours delay in reaching Coimbatore.

Coimbatore Participants (including 3AC trains):

CAC Repeating Participants: ₹19,800
New Participants: ₹21,400

Participants joining us directly in Goa:

CAC Repeating Participants: ₹14,200
New Participants: ₹15,400

Note: If you prefer 2AC Sleeper coach, there will be an additional cost of ₹1360 to the above trip cost.

Day 1: Wilderness resort, Goa (₹4,000).

Train tickets - For participants joining from Coimbatore, 3AC Sleeper fee is (₹3,740).
Local transport in Goa for all 3 days (₹2500).
Local transport in Coimbatore - Transport between Coimbatore and Shoranur railway station which is applicable only if you join from Coimbatore (₹2200).

Day 2: Forteleza Cabo Trek by Adventure Breaks Goa (₹1,400).
Day 3: Hidden Waterfall trek (₹1,500).

Exclusions:

❌ Meals not mentioned in inclusions (₹400 per meal for basic local food).

❌ Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay, ill health, roadblocks, landslides, floods and/or any factors beyond control.

📝GENERAL INFO

Basics:

Total number of slots: 18.
Age group: 18 to 40.
Gender ratio: To encourage female travelers, we will ensure that there is a min of 50% female participants.
Resort lovers & those who are expecting a traditional tourist trip please reconsider. This trip is only for those who wish to be close with nature, ready to trek, walk and be active.
Strictly no alcohol or smoking at anytime during the trip.
Participants will need to carry a small bag during the trek to carry some snacks and other essentials.
Couples are welcome to register. The total number of couples in the trip will be limited to one.
Mobile Connectivity: Very little mobile network through Airtel & Jio in resort and while in trekking regions.
Weather: Forest (Inland/Western Ghats) and Seaside (Coastal Belt): Monsoon rainfall with extremely wet, with high humidity and mist and expect temperatures between 22°C - 28°C.

Note: Goa is prone to heavy rains during this monsoon season, and the government may put restrictions on activities. Such intances are beyond our control and we will either change the date of the trip or we will still conduct the trip and arrange alternative activities.

Transport:

All train tickets will be booked by CAC for participants joining from Coimbatore.
Participants joining and departing from Goa on their own are requested to arrange their travel accordingly and keep at least a 2-hour buffer to avoid any unforeseen delays.

Accommodation:

- Accommodation will be in cottages separate for men and women.
- Double/Triple/Quad sharing rooms.
- If you prefer double sharing rooms in both the stays, it will be available at an extra cost of (₹1,000) and please choose accomodation accordingly while registration.
- Separate double rooms for couples can be arranged for all days at an additional cost, subject to availability. Please contact us for details.
- Hot water facility will be available at the accommodations, however expect power failures in forest regions during monsoons, that can interrupt hot water access.
- Customized food options may not be available. Be prepared to taste the native dishes of Goa. There wont be south Indian food options in any of the days.
- All Breakfasts will be Veg, Lunches will be Veg/Non-Veg and Dinner will be Veg/Non-Veg buffet.

Things to carry:

Mandatory - Any Govt. issued ID card (preferably Aadhar).
Trekking Shoes and slippers.
Rain Jacket and Umbrella.
Cap and sunscreen to proctect yourself from sun.
Any energy snack and reusable water bottle.
Mosquito repellant.
Sanitizer spray (will help to remove leeches easily).
Toileteries.

Note: Anything apart from this will be communicated before the trip

Trek details:

Trek Difficulty: Easy for regular trekkers / Moderate for begineers

Selection process criteria:

Selection for the trip will be at the complete discretion of Coimbatore Adventure Club. Please send us the payment only if you get a confirmation from us. We will be keeping 50:50 ratio for repeating participants and new participants. Here are some of our criteria,

New participants:
- Solo participants will get first preference.
- Or if you have a referral from our previous participants.
- Or if you have registered for some other trip with us and didn't get a slot.
Repeating participants:
- Preference if you have engaged us in your social media posts/stories.
- Or if you have referred us to someone.

Registration & Selection Process:

Registration: If you are interested in joining this trip, please complete your registration by clicking the link provided at the end of this itinerary.
Invitation and Selection Process: Once registered, shortlisted participants will receive an official invitation to join the trip along with details for making the advance payment.

Advance Payment: Shortlisted participants will receive advance payment instructions. Your slot for the trip will be confirmed only upon successful payment of the advance.

To Keep in Mind:

Registering for the trip via the provided link does not guarantee a slot. Confirmation is subject to the selection process and availability of slots.
The selection process is solely at the discretion of the Coimbatore Adventure Club. If all slots are filled, we will notify you and place you on a waitlist.

Payment process:

Confirm your spot with an initial payment of ₹10,000 and it is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Option to pay advance amount through credit cards / wallets are also possible. Do request us at the time of payment.
Balance payment to be settled during the trip in cash.
Payment details will be shared if you are shortlisted for the trip.
We do have EMI option, but there will be processing fee and interest.

Cancellation Policy:

1) Cancellation by participant:

Advance paid during trip confirmation is strictly non-refundable at any circumstances, as we group book the trains/van and accommodation. Also note that the advance payment will strictly be not transferrable to someone else or to a future trip, in case you are not joining the trip. In case a participant cancels at the last moment (within 48 hours of trip starting time), they will be requested to settle atleast 75% of the total trip cost.

2) Cancellation due to unforeseen situations beyond our control:

In the event of trip cancellations due to natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, or government-imposed restrictions) - essentially, any situation beyond CAC’s control - train cancellation charges up to ₹1,000 will be non-refundable. The remaining amount can be fully transferred to rescheduled dates or applied to any other trip of your choice.

Important Notice:

Coimbatore Adventure Club reserves the right to remove any participant from the trip at any time if they engage in any illicit or inappropriate behavior. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all travelers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Incase of misbehavior, the concerned participant can be sent home without any refund.
Please note that there could be small changes in the itinerary due to weather, local restrictions or any unforeseen circumstances. Suitable alternative plans will be made in such cases.
