beginning band

All Year Class

Beginning Band consists of woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments.  This class is for the student who wants to learn how to play a band instrument, as well as the basic music fundamentals of reading and writing music. No previous musical experience is required. This ensemble performs concerts outside of regular class time.

Woodwinds: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon

Brass: horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba

Percussion:  All battery percussion (snare drums, bass drums, tenor drums,and cymbals)  timpani and mallet instruments (bell kit)

Course offered to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students
