Dr. Matthew Wetstein

Dr. Matt Wetstein is in his third year as Superintendent/President of Cabrillo College. Prior to working at Cabrillo, Matt served for 6 years as the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Instruction and Planning at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA. Matt started his career in the California Community Colleges as a Political Science Instructor at San Joaquin Delta College in 1996. He holds a BA from the University of St. Francis in Illinois, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University. He is a statewide leader in the Research and Planning Community for California Community Colleges, having spent six years on the board of that organization and two years as President.

College Mural Project

Cabrillo College is proud to announce the open solicitation of proposals from local artists to paint a mural on the Aptos campus that demonstrates pride in Cabrillo's Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) designation by fostering a sense of belonging, celebrating Latinx culture, and centering Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) students’ racial, cultural, and linguistic ways of living and knowing. Please see the Request for Proposals for further details and application requirements. The submission deadline is April 30th, 2021.
