Graduate Research Assistant positions are available to candidates from all academic years. The LESR lab specializes in exploring the transport, thermodynamic properties, and structures of diverse material systems, encompassing unconventional superconductors, heavy fermion systems, and low-dimensional systems. Our emphasis lies in designing, synthesizing, and growing crystals of novel materials or fine-tuning properties within established systems. Additionally, graduate student fellowships are available (MSc and PhD programs). We enthusiastically invite applications from highly motivated graduate students. For further details, please contact us via email to michael.cabrera@ufpe.br.
Undergraduate Research Assistant positions are open to applicants from all academic years. Our lab has a track record of highly motivated and productive undergraduates who have actively contributed to peer-reviewed journal publications by their graduation. Hands-on training is integral to our lab work, requiring a significant time commitment. Therefore, we encourage undergraduate research assistants to dedicate at least one year to the lab to facilitate comprehensive and systematic research leading to publication, particularly within the framework of the IC program at UFPE. We seek ambitious and motivated students who aspire to pursue graduate studies. Interested applicants are invited to email michael.cabrera@ufpe.br for further information.
