Teaching approach

My teaching approach has to deal with many authors I have studied. It is important to be aware that we are teaching more than language. That is why, it is important to encourage students to develop their creativity, curiosity and inquisitive minds, while working in their emotional, personal and social well-being.

• "It is important to form ideas based in perceptions, in order to create meaningful activities" (Piaget)

• "Games play an important role when we encourage children to get into the cultural world" (Froebel)

• Based in the constructivist theory, the teacher must work as a guide and try to foster children to develop their own knowledge through meaningful learning.

• "It is important to keep a good environment where children can feel comfortable and free to develop their language skills though fun and play" (Montessori)

• Also, it is important to take into account some strategies proposed by Mohammed in our classes , such as storytelling, rhyme and rhythm, imaginative play, scenario, changing the learning environment, building words, awe and wonder, humour and creative art. They weill help children to develop their knowledge meaningfully.
