Property management is important when it comes to real estate investments. And this is why CREPA has offered to hold a free public lecture on property management. Hosted by a public university, CREPA has sent two members as Subject Matter Experts who can brief the attendees on the basics of property management, and how one can profit from it.
“We are delighted to take part in this and we are more than glad to share our expertise when it comes to property management. As real estate professionals not everyone knows that they can lean on us as well when it comes to running the day to day operations of a rental business – no matter the size,” explains Olivia Lancaster, CREPA Chairperson
The website AllPropertyManagement.com has explained the correlation between a Licensed Real Estate Broker and a Property Manager. In California for instance, a property manager is required to have a Licensed Real Estate broker’s license in order to practice the profession. California Department of Real Estate
“A broker's license is required for any person or company that, for compensation, leases or rents or offers to lease or rent, or places for rent, or solicits listings of places for rent, or solicits for prospective tenants, or negotiates the sale, purchase or exchanges of leases on real property, or collects rents from real property, or improvements thereon. A salesperson working under a broker may engage in such activities.”

As for individual responsibilities, Personal Finance website TheBalance.com offered an explanation. Among those they discussed are the administrative tasks expected from property managers. Real Estate Wiki
“The property manager is the owner's partner in maximizing the return on investment of the property through the efficient performance of these four functional areas of responsibility. The property management company acts in the best interests of the owner to maintain the property, keep it occupied with tenants, collect rents, budget improvements and maintain records.”
