Prof. Tiago H. Falk is a Full Professor at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique, (INRS), University of Québec, where he directs the Multisensory Signal Analysis and Enhancement Lab focused on building next-generation human-machine interfaces. He co-directs the INRS-UQO Joint Research Unit on Cybersecurity and Digital Trust, where research is being conducted to make human-machine interfaces secure and reliable by tackling emerging vulnerabilities to artificial intelligence algorithms.
Prof. Marina Gavrilova is a Full Professor at the University of Calgary and is the co-director of the Biometric Technology Laboratory (BTLab) and a Research Excellence Chair in Trustworthy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI). Her transdisciplinary research focuses on design and development of trustworthy, explainable, reliable, and ethical decision-making systems and their integration in safety, cybersecurity and health applications.
