Mrs. Constance Washington is a former 2nd Grade Teacher in Birmingham City Schools District. I have 15 years of teaching experience. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from University of North Alabama and a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. I have been married to Rev. Edwin Washington for 30+ years and mom to two grown men, James and Jamar. My philosophy of teaching is every child should have the right to learn and for that to happen teachers are a must! Teaching is a calling that can directly impact the future. I have taken this calling seriously as I strived to help elementary students grow socially and intellectually in their Reading. My years of teaching elementary students have shown me that teaching students foundations of Reading is a joy especially when non-reading students become fluent readers.
