STREET ARTIST BANKSY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS- DIGITAL ESCAPE ROOM GAME
This unit is going to be a bit different. I'm inviting you to play a little game, an 'escape room' or 'breakout' game. Through forms, games and riddles you'll be able to get your goal. [However, if you don't want to take part in the game, and would only like to do some exercises to practise your English, you can still do so. You can find the key to your answers on this page.]
Do you dare to take on the challenge?
INTRODUCTION: THE GAME IS AFOOT (Sherlock Holmes- 19th century)/THE GAME IS ON (Sherlock-21st century)
Street artist Banksy somehow got wind of the fact that my students were going to be discussing environmental issues these days. He is a well-known supporter of a number of environmental charities and groups. That is why he left a message overnight for you all. However, being as elusive and secretive as he is, he left it inside a box under lock and key.
The padlock can be unlocked, though, by using a password made up of 6 capital letters. In order to open the padlock, you need to carry out six activities. At the end of each activity you will have to submit your answers through a Google Form. Each time you submit your answers you will get a letter of the password. Tip: write down those letters on a piece of paper, your mobile phone…, and in the right order. You will need to use them as a full password at the end, to unlock the secret message Banksy has left for you.
