I must admit, I did come up with the main storylines, the characters, and the whole lore of The Unfortunate Story Series (The Program, Council of Existence, etc.), the actual books themselves were made by AI. (Including The Quite Fortunate Story Series)
Back in 2023 (When I first wrote the books) AI was still in fairly new, and being able to give it a few sentances or ideas of what you wanted in the story, and seeing how much it could output from it, was revolutionary to me back then.
I don't condone using AI for everything, while there might be some 'good' uses, I don't recommend using AI to do EVERYTHING for you, so in honor of honoring that thought, I have brought it upon myself to completely rewrite all of The Unfortunate Story Series, and make it fully original with no AI use, hence calling them the "Author's Edition."
The Author's Edition will follow the same story, but now with added context and fixed plot holes that the AI wasn't able to do. (Continuity errors, etc.) I hopefully expect to finish Volume 1 before 2027, and actually release the book.
