On the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, while many celebrate with traditional sacrifices, thousands of marginalized families are unable to afford such rituals. To bridge this gap and spread the joy of Eid, BYO Development Foundation in collaboration with Bangladesh Youth Organization distributed Qurbani meat among 700 underprivileged families across Gaibandha district.
With the generous support of the Gaibandha District Administration, our dedicated volunteers delivered meat packages to families in areas including Kamarjani, Dariapur, Sadullapur, Tulsighat, Balashi, Batkamari Char, Kunderpar Char, and Laxmipur, among others.
At 11:45 AM, the program was officially inaugurated at the Gaibandha Fire Service premises by the Honorable Deputy Director of Local Government, Hedayetul Islam. His presence and kind support added immense value to this humanitarian initiative.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Gaibandha for his continuous cooperation and encouragement, which played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the program. His support continues to inspire us in our mission to serve the community.
A beneficiary, Kachimon Bewa, emotionally shared, "We are poor people. We can't afford Qurbani on Eid. We can't even buy meat. But today, these young people came and gave us meat. May Allah bless them all."
Our Founder & Executive Director Zihad Akanda said, "This humble effort was made to share the spirit and joy of Eid with those who need it most. Our aim is to ensure no one is left behind during this festive time. We sincerely seek the continued support of all in our ongoing social and humanitarian efforts."
We are grateful to everyone who contributed and supported this noble cause. Let us continue working together to build a compassionate and inclusive society.
