This workshop gathers together young researchers in Calculus of Variations, Geometric Measure Theory and Partial Differential Equations with applications to problems in Continuum Mechanics and Materials Science. The meeting aims at promoting scientific exchange and fostering new collaborations.
The event is hosted by Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and takes place in the Wassersaal of the Orangery (Schlossgarten 1, 91054 Erlangen) from Wednesday October 29th at 2pm to Friday October 31st at 1pm.

Presentations should last 45-50 minutes with 10-15 minutes for questions. Please, prepare beamer slides for your talk as no blackboard is available a the venue (only flipcharts). There will be plenty of time for discussion.
Accommodation is provided for all speakers from Tuesday October 28th to Friday October 31st (unless differently agreed with the organizers) either at Altmanns Stube or Hotelchen am Theater (both located at Theaterplatz).
A social dinner is planned for Thursday 30th October at Steinbach Bräu (Vierzigmannstrasse 4, 91054 Erlangen).
