Keep an open mind : You’ll end up exactly where you’re meant to be — trust the process and enjoy getting to know all the chapters.
Dress comfortably and confidently : BW recruitment is more relaxed, so focus on feeling good in what you wear rather than stressing over being overly formal.
Stay hydrated and bring a small snack : Even though it’s not as hectic as larger schools, it’s still a long day of talking and walking around campus.
Chat with your Rho Gamma and group : They’re amazing resources, and the girls in your group might end up being some of your closest friends at BW.
Be yourself : The best connections happen when you're genuine — let your personality shine.
At Baldwin Wallace University, sorority recruitment is an engaging and structured process designed to help new students find their ideal sisterhood among the four sororities on campus: Delta Zeta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Zeta Tau Alpha. At the beginning of the school year, multiple events are hosted where interested students can meet members of each sorority, learn about their values, activities, and what makes each group unique.
Formal recruitment takes place over the weekend of September 11th through the 14th. During this time, participants have the chance to speak with members from each sorority. This allows for in-depth conversations and a better understanding of each sorority’s culture and community. At the end of the weekend, each woman will reflect on her experiences and decide where she feels most at home. At the end of recruitment there is a big celebration called bid day. This is where new members are welcomed into their sorority, marking the beginning of their journey with their new sisters!
Dear Potential New Members,
My name is Keira Donkers, and I’m overjoyed to serve as Delta Zeta’s Vice President of New Member Education! I’m truly honored to welcome you as you begin this special journey—and I can’t wait to meet those of you who will find your home in Delta Zeta.
Delta Zeta has become my home away from home, and I’m incredibly passionate about creating that same warm, supportive space for you. Our sisterhood is built on strong values, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable experiences, and I’m so excited to help you learn what makes DZ so special.
Recruitment can feel a little overwhelming at times, but please know that we’re here to make this process as joyful, genuine, and meaningful as possible. Our sisters are eager to share our bond with you and to give you a glimpse into the love and connection that define our chapter.
Through Delta Zeta, I’ve found my people—the women who uplift me, challenge me, and celebrate me. I've grown in ways I never imagined, and the opportunities, friendships, and memories I’ve made have shaped who I am today. I truly believe that some of the most impactful and transformative moments of your college experience can begin right here.
You are the future of Delta Zeta. We already believe in your potential to carry on the values and spirit that make our chapter so special. So take a deep breath, trust the process, and enjoy every step of the way. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses—because this journey is one you’ll remember forever.
DZLAM,
Keira Donkers
