DELTA ZETA
BALDWIN WALLACE UNIVERSITY
Gamma Alpha Chapter
Delta Zeta, founded in 1902 at Miami University in Ohio, prioritizes its members above all! With values like friendship, curiosity, generosity, citizenship, empowerment, and belonging, Delta Zeta fosters a supportive community full of courage, personal growth, and authenticity. The sorority offers leadership and service opportunities to empower its members. We are committed to raising money for the speech and hearing community though organizations such as the Starkey Hearing Foundation and the American Society for Deaf Children.
Joining Delta Zeta is a way to find your home away from home while in college. However, Delta Zeta is not just something people are part of during their college years. Being a DZ means that you will always have sisters in your corner. These women will uplift you and push you to be the best version of yourself. That is part of the true meaning of Delta Zeta.
"I chose Delta Zeta because it is a place where I could make lasting friendships and feel at home"
Recruitment
At Baldwin Wallace University, sorority recruitment is an engaging and structured process designed to help new students find their ideal sisterhood among the four sororities on campus: Delta Zeta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Zeta Tau Alpha. At the beginning of the school year, multiple events are hosted where interested students can meet members of each sorority, learn about their values, activities, and what makes each group unique.
Formal recruitment takes place over the weekend of September 5th through the 8th. During this time, participants have the chance to speak with members from each sorority. This allows for in-depth conversations and a better understanding of each sorority’s culture and community. At the end of the weekend, each woman will reflect on her experiences and decide where she feels most at home. At the end of recruitment there is a big celebration called bid day. This is where new members are welcomed into their sorority, marking the beginning of their journey with their new sisters!
