BELLINGHAM WOMEN’S SOFTBALL LEAGUE

MISSION and VISION STATEMENT

         The Bellingham Women’s Softball League (BWSL) began in 1979 as a pick-up league of women who wanted to get out for a night of exercise and fun with friends.  As more women joined, the Bellingham Women’s Over-30 Softball League was organized as a fun, non-competitive league.  As years went by, younger women requested to join the league so the age limit was lowered to 25 years old, forming the BWSL as we know it today.

         The BWSL is committed to enlisting players who want to play softball with their friends for fun, in a non-competitive environment.  Priority is placed on encouraging our teammates, treating others with respect and following the rules as voted by the members. 

         The BWSL’s vision is to remain fun and non-competitive, to welcome new members regardless of their ability and to develop long-term friendships.  All BWSL Officers, Team Captains and Members pledge to uphold the integrity of this league by maintaining the vision over and above everything else.
