I live in central Minnesota and have all my life. I have taught 8th grade English plus 6th and 8th grade health in the same room in the same district for nearly 30 years. Some say I have “staying power”. I am fiercely dedicated to the things in life that make my heart happy – books books books, my family, my animals, and my writing. My superhuman husband and I ride a Harley and our horses when we’re not working on some part of Small Potatoes farm.
We have two dogs, thirty (named) chickens, a barn cat, a fat donkey and four horses to keep us thriving as well as provide endless material for writing poetry, short stories, kids’ books and novels.
I'm a daydreamer and a cloud watcher. I willingly accuse myself of having “just too many hobbies,” from gardening to training my young Nokota® RainyDay. I spend my never-enough-minutes-in-the-day doing these things, not just because they are things I enjoy, but because they are things that bring me joy. And that, to me, is what life is about.
