I live in central Minnesota and have all my life. I have taught 8th grade English, plus 6th and 8th grade health in the same room in the same district for 30 years. Some say I have “staying power”. I am fiercely dedicated to the things in life that make my heart happy.
My superhuman husband and I ride a Harley and work with our Nokota® horses when we’re not putzing on some part of Small Potatoes Farm. We have two dogs, twenty (named) chickens, a barn cat, a fat donkey, and four horses to keep us thriving. Life in a small town provides endless material for writing poetry, blogs, short stories, kids’ books, and novels.
I'm a daydreamer and a cloud watcher. I willingly admit to having “just too many hobbies." From gardening to junk art, I spend my never-enough-minutes-in-the-day doing these things, not just because they are things that I enjoy, but because they are things that bring me joy. And that, to me, is what life is about.
