This Privacy Policy explains how Background Video Recorder (“BVR System”, “the app”, “we”) handles information. By using the app you agree to this policy.
The app records video and (optionally) audio at your request. All recordings are saved to the app's own private storage on your device and are not uploaded to us or to any server. We do not access, collect, view or share your recordings. Deleting the app removes its private recordings.
Camera — to record video (used only while you are recording).
Microphone — to record audio, only when you enable it.
Notifications — to show the ongoing recording notification required by Android.
Foreground service — to keep recording running reliably in the background.
Wake lock — keeps the device awake only while a recording is in progress.
Internet / network state — used to connect to Google Play (optional subscription) and Google AdMob (ads in the free version). Recordings are never uploaded.
Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob to show ads in the free version.
While the camera or microphone is in use, Android always shows a notification and the system camera/microphone indicators. The app does not record silently or automatically.
The free version of the app shows ads (full-screen interstitial and app-open ads) through Google AdMob. Pro subscribers see no ads. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your IP address (used to estimate your general location), app interaction data and diagnostic information. This is handled by Google, not by us:

Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
The app offers an optional weekly "Pro" subscription (no ads, 1080p/4K recording, custom notification text) through Google Play Billing. Payments and subscription management are handled by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details.
We (the developer) do not collect personal information, do not require an account, and do not have a server. Data is processed only by Google: by Google AdMob for ads in the free version (see section 3), and by Google Play for payments if you choose to subscribe.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
