DEAR--DROP EVERYTHING AND READ
As part of the National Reading Day 19 June 2024, our school is conducting a reading program DEAR Drop Everything And READ for the entire school during the 7th period.
The respective subject teachers are requested to present the reading material posted in the smart board of the class for the students.
Everyone is requested to participate by reading during the said time.
The Class XI students planned an interesting and captivating exercise called "Storygami" for the students of Class 2 as part of the National Reading Day celebrations. In order to vividly illustrate the story of "Frog and the Princesses," the senior students skilfully combined storytelling with origami to create realistic-looking characters and scenes.
The engaging and eye-catching performance enthralled the youthful crowd. The senior students expertly told the story while folding paper to make origami figures that symbolised different parts of the narrative. This creative method improved the story's readability and assisted the younger kids in better picturing and comprehending it.
The session ended with a memory test to gauge their level of listening comprehension. In order to get them to remember and think back on what they had heard and seen, questions concerning the characters and other plot points were posed to them. This exercise reinforced the value of attentive listening and comprehension while being entertaining and instructional.
The Storygami session, which encouraged a love of reading and storytelling among the younger audience, was, all things considered, the high point of the National Reading Day festivities. It demonstrated the kids' inventiveness and teamwork.
