I'm Buzzy, your friendly neighborhood homesteader with a nickname that's as wild as my homesteading adventures. Now, you might wonder how I got the monicker. Well, let's rewind back to 1981, when I was a mischievous three-year-old on the loose!

I managed to vanish from my home, leaving my poor Mother in a frantic frenzy. When the police arrived to help with the search, she explained, "She just kind of buzzed off!" Now, I didn't quite sprout wings and fly away like a bumblebee. I had ventured to play at a nearby construction site because that's what kids (even little kids) did in the 80s. 

Well, my Dad thought the entire ordeal was hilarious, and immediately began calling me, "Buzzy." Here I am, well into my 40s, and the name has stuck.

Enough about my name; let's dig into the good stuff - homesteading! I'm raising my family, animals, insects, and plants on 35 beautiful acres of peaceful bliss in the middle of the Ozarks, surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest. I'm here to share my wild homesteading ride, complete with epic fails and triumphant tales.
