CUrrent bake sale benefits action st. lous
Action St. Louis Builds political power for disenfranchised St. Louisians. Action St. Louis was founded in 2016. Initially organized as a coalition, Action’s history is rooted in collective direct action against systemic racism and state violence.
On Friday, May 16th, an EF3 tornado touched down in the St. Louis region causing a 20 mile path of destruction and devastation. The tornado claimed the lives of five individuals, leaving several injured and hundreds without power, food and shelter. Action St. Louis and For The Culture immediately hit the ground running with rescue and recovery efforts—specifically in North City—and are continuing to do so.
100% sales from this bake sale will be donated directly to Action St. Louis so they can continue to provide relief efforts for our community. We encourage you to make a donation of your own or if you're able to volunteer in any way, shape or form with Action St. Louis. Action St. Louis is a grassroots organization that seeks to build political power for disenfranchised communities in the St. Louis region. Action St. Louis builds campaigns that leverage organizing, communications, advocacy, and direct action to mitigate harm against our community while fighting for long-term transformation.
Action St. Louis envisions a region where Black people are empowered to take bold action towards transforming our own communities, making St. Louis a place where every Black life is valued and affirmed. Through organizing, we envision building communities that are free from oppressive institutions and all forms of violence.
