Procrastination is the act of unnecessarily postponing or delaying something. Everyone is affected by this at some point in their lives. Studies have shown that about 20% of adults procrastinate chronically and 80-95% of students procrastinate.
74% of people report that they go to bed later than they planned, with no external reason. Lack of sleep can lead to health problems such as a weakened immune system, memory issues, and increases the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease.
94% of people report that procrastination has a negative effect on their happiness. People experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, feeling lost or unsucessful, and hating themselves.

The top causes of procrastination from this survey are:
Wanting to relax / too tired
Lack of motivation
Vague Deadline / "It can be done later" mentality
