Depending on the weather, a train trip from Liverpool Central to West Kirby and a walk to Hilbre Island is a must. Be sure to check the tide times at hilbre-island.co.uk. Formby beach and its sand dunes or Crosby beach with the cast-iron statues are also worth visiting.
