There are expected to be multiple sessions devoted to student talks at BUSSTEPP 2016. The purpose of these talks is both to allow students to introduce themselves and their research as well as to provide an opportunity to practice giving research talks and seminars.
All participating students are asked to choose either a short introductory talk of up to 3 minutes duration or a more detailed presentation of up to 10 minutes.
For the short talks apart from introducing themselves students are expected to provide a brief description of their intended/ongoing PhD project.
10 minute talks are intended for students who may have obtained new research results either intended for or already published. These talks should give a brief description of the research, its aims and the main achievements and should be suitable for a broad audience of particle theorists.
Students will be directed to choose either a 3 minute introductory talk or a 10 minute presentation as part of the registration process.
