Bushyhead Farm

Bushyhead Farm is the ongoing sustainability project started by husband and wife Todd Gunter and Monica Abbott with their sons, Addison and Jazz. Bushyhead Farm is 4 miles North of the town of Kansas, Oklahoma. Nestled in the Dry Creek valley surrounded by steep hills and bluffs, with 20,000 acres of Cherokee Nation Wilderness open to the public, across the road. Todd and Monica are building an Earthship home, and practicing a variety of sustainable farming techniques. When the shutdowns due to COVID 19 began effecting musicians, and fans' sanity, they hatched a plan to safely bring friends, family and new friends to Bushyhead Farm for two Boutique Festivals in 2020. These were hastily put together to substitute for lack of live music, and were a great success.

Over the summer solstice weekend of 2021 the first official Bushyhead Festival took place. It was a fun filled weekend full of music, chilling in the creek, floating the river, hiking, and learning about efforts to be better stewards of the earth. The three day festival featured performances by Shinyribs, My-Tea Kind with a seperate Bonnie Paine and Friends set, along with Taarka, Nolatet and many more.
