Ice Houses

his involves an exploration to locate some of the ice houses on the mountain. I have known for a long time that was another ice house on the mountain, apart from the three already known about. The known ones are near the start of the Ice House Track, the well known one near the top of the track and one part way between. It is opposite this middle one where the others are located. In fact there are four structures, two being ice houses and two marked as hut sites and they are on the top side of the track and about 10 metres in. A party of researchers were there in 2013 and reported finding the walls.

There should also be time to walk to the top of track at and locate Huthisons Fireplace (number 2 according to records). It was still well and truly standing last time I visited .
