The jingles of the bells from the temples passing by the rushing 369E serve as lullaby to the people in the bus early in the morning. The sound of the engine revving is inappropriately loud, since there is no other sound, except for the sound from the earphones of the person sitting next listening to hard metal. It is observed how vibrant the culture of Bangalore is, as on one dimension outside the bus, people are completely devoted to their prayers and are enjoying the jingles of the bells, where here is the youth who prefers to wake up with a music genre which the people outside won't probably understand.
The rattling sounds of heavy equipments being used for construction of the Namma Metro project is the only common denominator to the sound we perceive all throughout the day and night. And presumably it is the only reason why the bus is always amidst people honking like madmen. You don't really need to look out of the bus to judge if you're in the middle of the road with hundreds of other vehicles around you, but you can actually sense it when you hear every other tone of horn noises that don't actually make any sense, since it won't anyway help the traffic move. This scene is kind-of rare to be seen in the mornings, unless it is some very important day or when roads are blocked for some VVIP to pass. But it is actually everyday in the evening, to see tired people, after a long and frustateful day at work trying to pass by the huge bus, apparently creating more of a havoc and traffic. The roaring engine, sounding being about a minute away from break down makes people generate biased opinions of the bus being a wasteful commute. Prejudices created, could be forgone only with them experiencing the other beautiful sounds by ignoring the demonic noise the bus creates.
At 0600 in the morning, local vendors, students, corporate people, for some unreasonable' reason are stuck to the 6" screens in front of them, with a weird stubbornness to not talk to anyone that exists, rather than what the nature here in this mega urban space has rarely to offer, 'Peace'. This maybe because of a low spirit to go back to a place which you hate to work or study in. But this is how the world works now; you need not care if you like what you do. You 'have' to commit to and complete what you're expected to without questions, without bothering to what they could explore in their capabilities. In comparison, people at 1900, even though feeling almost crushed by the workload they had been facing all day, are actually so happy and cheered-up to be back to their own cozy and comfy beds that they really talk to other people on the commute. It is equally in opposite to what happens in the morning to what we perceive in the evening.
As the time progresses towards the afternoon, the rush starts to increase and so does the noise. Yes it is actually noise since most of them won't be helped in any way except for the people actually making it. The conductor shouting "Ticket!" and about the next stop approaching, with the background music of the lullaby of the road shivering as the heavy bus passes by is heard all the way throughout.
All these perceived sounds are sensed and generally ignored by almost all of us, every single day. But all of these when thought about in detail tell a deep detailed story of a place and its culture, how things work about and go around in the region. It can sometimes be irritating for us to go through all this noise, but doesn't really matter, since we know we have the superheroes of the reign, the bus drivers and conductors who help all of us be on time and be efficient, while going through all what bothers us, while onboard 369E all day.
