BusBee — Privacy Policy

  BusBee is a college bus tracking app operated by [Company Legal Name]. Your college enrols you and enters most of your

  details: your name, mobile number, date of birth, gender and address, plus your roll number and assigned bus and stop if you

  are a student, or your licence number, Aadhaar number and photograph if you are a driver. You sign in with your mobile number

  and a one-time code — there are no passwords. If you allow notifications, we also store a device token so we can send you

  alerts.

  We collect a driver's GPS location only while a trip is running — from the moment they tap Start trip until they tap Stop trip

  — and never in the background or from students, staff or admins. During a trip, the bus position is visible to students in

  that college and to their college's admins and permitted staff; when the trip ends, the last reported position stays on record

  as the bus's last known location until the next trip replaces it. We use all of this to show buses on the map, sign you in,

  send trip and route notifications, and let your college manage its fleet. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

  The only outside services involved are Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Google Maps for the map, and

  MongoDB Atlas for storage.

  We keep your records for as long as your college keeps you enrolled. One-time codes expire after 5 minutes. Because your

  college owns your record, students and drivers cannot delete their own accounts in the app — ask your college's transport

  office to remove you, or email us and we will pass the request on. Colleges can have their entire account and all its data

  deleted by writing to us from their registered admin email. For access, correction, deletion or any complaint, contact
