How will I get my tickets?
You will be registered for prom at the time of purchase. The official list is all that is needed for entry. However, you will receive a keepsake email ticket on May 16th via email. Ticket holders who purchased roses will receive them on May 18th.
The annual Burr and Burton Academy Prom 2023 will take place on May 20, 2023, at the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, Vermont. Students and parents may not park on the drive up or along the road. You can park in the parking lot near the buildings. We ask that parents leave the premises by 7:00 pm. Directions Here
6:45 pm: Doors Open
7:00 pm: DJ Starts in the Tent
8:00 pm: Gates Close (With little exceptions)
8:00 pm: The movie starts in Cinema Area
9:30 pm: Prom Court is crowned, and then gates reopen
10:15 pm: Music stops, and everyone heads home
Yes, there will be light refreshments and beverages, however, there will not be full meals.
The dress code is glam!
The theme is a night sky theme called Rewrite the Stars.
We are in a tent and an open-air auditorium, so bringing a warm piece of clothing (shawl/ jacket) to have with you is recommended. If you are wearing a long-sleeved dress shirt, it is highly recommended that you wear a T-shirt underneath (in case you get hot and want to remove the dress shirt).
All current Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend.
Each Junior or Senior may bring one guest. If your guest is not a current BBA Junior or Senior class member, you must fill out this form for approval.
Current BBA underclassmen are automatically approved, but the form must still be filled out prior to ticket purchase. Students bringing outside guests (not current BBA students) must receive written approval before purchasing tickets.

Students must sign in when arriving and sign out when leaving. No one will be admitted after 8pm.
Use or possession of drugs, alcohol, vape products, and tobacco is prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave immediately and may lose privileges (as determined by the Administration) at future events.
Burr and Burton Academy may also screen students (using the alcohol sensors) for admittance to school dances or before leaving.
Students will not be permitted to return to their cars once they have arrived.
Students who choose to leave the dance early must leave the premises and will not be readmitted. Students are asked to stay at prom until 9:30 pm.
Any student who engages in inappropriate behavior may be asked to leave by a chaperone.
If a student wishes to bring a guest, a guest contract must be completed by the student and approved by the Administration prior to ticket purchase HERE
Guests must be at least in high school and no more than 19 years old.
If a guest’s behavior is considered inappropriate by a chaperone, the guest and the student host will be asked to leave the dance.
All school rules apply to dances held off-campus.
All dancing must be appropriate for school. Grinding, twerking or other forms (s) of provocative dance are not acceptable.
