Burn Your Idols is an alt rock band from Plattsburgh, NY, composed of guitarist Will Lutz, bassist Alex Rudnick, singer Aiden Snyder, and drummer Luke Gerhardt. Burn Your Idols draws from many influences, including Green Day, Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Nirvana, Sum 41, The Smashing Pumpkins, and System of a Down.
The band, formed in June 2022, was originally the idea of Will and Alex, shortly before attending college at SUNY Plattsburgh together. Aiden Snyder would join as the band's full-time vocalist in August 2023, followed by Luke Gerhardt in October 2023.
